About Sarah

Sarah began playing the harp at aged twelve in her home village of Saul in County Down, in the North of Ireland. Growing up, she remembers her grandmother taking her to many folk sessions that were held by well-known and cultivated Trad musicians of the area. Her grandparents would later host their own sessions where she would sing and play along with the older musicians. It was here that she developed her love for music.
She then entered many competitions and went on to win awards in the Fleadh and Scór competitions in Ireland; including the All-Ireland ballad group in 2009 and 2011 and the Ulster Solo Singing title in 2011.

Sarah has performed in many venues including; weekly performance slots at The Slieve Donard Hotel and Down County Museum. Sarah has also had the opportunity to perform at the 02 Arena in London with a talented group of singers, The Titanic Centre in Belfast, Belfast City Hall, Stormont Parliament Buildings and for Mary McAleese, former President of Ireland at Aras an Uachtaráin.
